Happy Holidays!

I am not the biggest fan of the holidays!

I have no children and no “immediate” family, and find the fighting, nasty and inconsiderate behavior of the holidays saddening.

I think to work “retail” during the holiday season, almost ruins your Christmas or holiday spirit.  At least it has mine.

And, my father who has now parted was born on Christmas.

So as a family we celebrated Christmas on Christmas eve and celebrated my father’s birthday on December 25.

We always gave him his presents, headed to a movie, and usually ate pork tenderloin on Christmas day!  Ahhh the joys of traditions.

I still try and keep my traditions alive by going to the movie for my dad.

And, this year I will exchange pork for crab legs, since I live in Maryland!

I know I am not the only one who sometimes finds the holidays tedious and sometimes depressing.

So let’s do everyone a favor by sharing some pictures of our dogs in holiday wear, opening presents, or with Santa or whatever your traditions are.

I recognize that not everyone is Christian.

So I will say Happy Holidays!  How do you spend your holiday?

Merry Christmas Minette. Over time your traditions will bring changes that will please you more and more. It would be very good if we could all be nice to each other year ’round.

Although I don’t have a dog, I’ll be working with my friend’s dog in January. Our goad (mine actually) is to go with her to the hospital to cheer up the patients, the dog loves people. I enjoy your blog, remember that you help many people understand how to train dogs, and the world is a better place for it.
